Equipping Hour

Pick up your sword. It's obvious that we won't survive as the followers of Christ without strapping on some armor. God's had a set designed and manufactured just for you; with you in mind and your name engraved. That's what the "Equipping Hour" is all about. We're helping you strap down. Gear up.

DVWC is offering courses designed to equip you for the journey ahead. Whether you're brand new to the whole Jesus thing, or danced praises to the Lord out the womb; "13-18Be prepared. You're up against far more than you can handle on your own. Take all the help you can get, every weapon God has issued, so that when it's all over but the shouting you'll still be on your feet. Part of DVWC's Vision is to see people discipled and equipped. That's what this hour is all about. The "Equipping Hour" is an hour designated for Bible training courses (9-10AM, Sunday Mornings before service). It's a great way to get to know people in the church, but also to connect and really get a grip on what we beleive and how we as Christians can live up to our potential through Christ.

 

The courses are setup in 3 Tiers.

 


Tier 1 - Getting A Grip On the Basics (9AM, Sunday Mornings) is the first course to take. It's the prerequisite for DVWC Membership, and the next avaliable course. Completion is required for being apart of most ministries here at DVWC. It's a 10 week course. Call the church office to find out when the next session of classes are to kick off. 623.582.1001

    Getting A Grip On Serving (9AM, Sunday Mornings) is a 10 week course that is required for other ministries that require further training than the first basics class, and any ministry leadership, but just because you're not the leadership type does not mean this class isn't for you! Tier 2 - Cleansing Streams courses are held every Spring and Fall. It is one of the final requirement for all ministry leadership at DVWC. Cleansing Streams is a course that meets every other Saturday for 7 courses, followed by a dynamic retreat (cannot miss), and finally a wrap up session the following Saturday.
