  • Series: Marriage and Family
Family is at the forefront of the mind of God.  He is the creator of the family.  He is the defender of the family.  And He is the provider of the family.

In today’s culture, the family’s basic structure is under attack.  Divorce is done by drive through and it is more difficult to get a drivers license than a marriage license.  The basic skills of marital relationship are vastly underdeveloped in our culture.  That is where the church must come into play and raise the standard to God’s standard.

In Genesis 2:24 God says, “Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh”.  Therefore God created the institution, and anyone who desires to dilute or break this holy covenant is in direct opposition to God’s order.

Therefore as the church, we must do all we can by God’s grace and power to exalt, retain, promote, and live the fullness of what His intentions are for the family.

At Deer Valley Worship Center, the church I pastor, we consider family the basic building block of the church and society.  If we desire to see our great nation continue to survive and thrive, the battle for the family must be won.

If God fights for and has ordained the family, then we as believers need to do the same.  Diligent study of God’s word, fellowship with other believers, and obedience to go into all the earth to proclaim the good news of God’s truth will continue to uphold and strengthen our families.

How many of us at this moment can say we know of someone or are in a family in crisis?  What can we do?  What must we do to help?

To be part of the solution we must not entertain less than biblical wisdom.  We need a revival of simple basic bible beliefs in action.  To love our neighbor as ourselves and to love God with all of our hearts, souls, and minds.  (Matthew 5:44, Dueteronomy 6:5)

Anything less will be unsatisfactory!!  So join the millions who are continuing to uphold the family through their active faith.  Now is not the time for inaction.  Your family deserves the best God has to offer.
